The Founding Story

In 2024, I studied entrepreneurship at Columbia Business School. Over two semesters, the curriculum broke down the entire lifecycle of building a company into a framework so rigorous, so brutally honest, that most students left the first class either terrified or exhilarated.

The approach was surgical. Nobody cared about your passion. They cared about your evidence. There was a formula — 10 factors, each scored 1-10 — and if your total score wasn't high enough, you'd hear: "This is a hobby, not a business."

The Big 9. The Mom Test. Fatal Flaw exercises. Sunk cost gates at every stage transition. These weren't optional — they were mandatory checkpoints that forced you to confront reality before investing another month of your life in an idea that might be dead on arrival.

But here's the thing: 99% of first-time founders will never sit in that classroom. They'll build in isolation, mistake politeness for validation, and burn through savings on ideas they never pressure-tested. The curriculum exists, but it's locked behind an MBA program.
